GULIANG KANGIN

Guliang kangin is one of banjar* that located in Bangli Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia.
* Banjar= group of balinese people that ruled by same awig-awig (traditional rule) and have a definitive area.


AREA BORDER:
Utara: Banjar Dadia (Bangli Regency)
Timur: Bakas, Tegal Wangi (Klungkung Regency)
Selatan: Belahpane Kaja, Dukuh. (Gianyar Regency)
Barat: Guliang Kawan, Bunutin (Bangli Regency)

CITIZENRY:
Guliang Kangin Citizens are Bali tribe with hindu religion. Guliang population is about 400 patriarch, and all population is around 200o persons. The Citizen come from many balinese clans, some of the clan is:
1. Tebuana.
2. Penyarikan.
3. Pungakan.
4. Dewa Batan sari.
5. Dewa Karang.
6. Tegeh Kuri.
7. Kamasan.
8. Batan Tubuh.
9. Pande.
10. Saba.
11. Pasek Gelgel.
12. Pasek Kayu Selem.
13. etc.

Some of this clan have their temple in Guliang Kangin.
Beside the native, there also many people came from other area even from other province. This comer make a new colony that named “Kamung Baru”, that mean new colony, but this colony still in one administration area with the native. Kampung Baru located in north of Dalem Tengaling temple.

Majority the citizen are farmers or breeders. The other work as goverment employe, private empolye, businessman, saler, driver, nurse/docter, traditional docter, carpenter, etc.
Although Guliang Kangin citizenry very various, but Guliang Kangin iis quiet and peace place, there never violation hapen.

HISTORY:
In many balinese old scrips had mention about Guliang Kangin. One of them is Scrip about Dalem Dimade Clan. This clan rised in Klungkung regency about 1500 AD, this story is about a king (Dalem Dimade) who atacked by his jenderal named Agung Maruti. Then the king abscond to Guliang Kangin and make new civillitation there.

PLACE OF INTEREST:
In Guliang Kangin there is many place that have speciall name. That name gave based on the caracter of the place. Some of the place mentioned bellow:

1. TEGUE
Tegue mean high place. This place located in the north of Banjar. In this place there is many guliang kangin people fice field. But there is also a rice field that owened by other citizenry.
2. MUNGSING
Mungsing Located in the west of Banjar. This place also a place that consist of many rice field.
